DIY ‘Nip Knots for Your Cat
Our CatCon Special Correspondent Angie Bailey is back with a DiY cat toy project, just in time for National Craft Month!
March is National Craft Month, and even us not-so-crafty types can celebrate by making simple toys for our cats. You don’t even need to haul out a sewing machine or figure out the mysteries of the knitting needles. If you can you operate a pair of scissors and tie a knot, then ready or “knot,” here you come!
Materials:
Square-shaped piece of felt — the size I used was 10”x10”
3-5 tablespoons of dried catnip
Scissors
Step 1:
Place the catnip in the middle of the square of felt.
Step 2:
Tie two of the opposite corners into a knot.
Step 3:
Tie the other two opposite corners into a knot.
Voila! You’ve just made a ‘nip knot for your kitty, and can officially call yourself “crafty.”
