6 Fan Favorite Fictional Felines

Garfield

How could we not include Garfield on a list of favorite fictional felines? SPOILER: we can’t. It’s impawsible to leave him out. And we wouldn’t have it any other way! The grumpy, tubby orange tabby has appeared everywhere — newspapers, books, on TV, and in the movies.

Salem Saberhagen from Sabrina, The Teenage Witch

Sabrina, the Teenage Witch wouldn’t be the same without Salem and the guidance (misguidance?) he offers. The witch-turned-black-cat is full of hilarious puns, wit, and pranks that always keep us laughing. We’re not the only ones who think so — Salem won Kids’ Choice Awards three years in a row for Favorite Animal Star!

Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland

This mischievous kitty from Alice in Wonderland (and all its iterations!) proves time and time again that he can’t be trusted, but his tricky riddles and giant ear-to-ear smile makes him a shoo-in for this list.

Thackery Binx from Hocus Pocus

Every time we watch Hocus Pocus we can’t help but wish that Binx the cat could be our pet. And maybe we also wish that Sean Murray as Thackery Binx the human was our boyfriend, but there’s no way you can prove that!

Cat from CatDog

Even though he’s attached to a dog, Cat is one of the funniest fictional cats to ever fictional cat! He’s incredibly uptight and, at times, borderline evil, but he loves jet skis, which makes him a hero in our book. (Logic has no place here!)

Simon’s Cat

Everyone loves Simon’s Cat, whose shameless and silly antics are chronicled in cartoons and books. The character is based on artist Simon Tofield’s real cat, Hugh… but we think Simon’s Cat has a purrsonality all his own.

Did we forget your favorite fictional feline? Let us know!

CatCon 2017 is taking place August 12 & 13 at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, CA. Tickets are on sale now!
